American Tournaments

I am delighted, on behalf of your committee, to inform you of the following details, which have been agreed for this year’s American Tennis Tournaments.

The club will be arranging 3 American Tennis tournaments in 2025, as follows:

Saturday 5th April 10.00 at OHTC

Saturday 10th May 10.00 at OHTC

Saturday 14th June 10.00 at OHTC

 

In order that I know who will be playing at each tournament, please type YES or NO next to each of the 3 dates above and send back to me by Email, ASAP.  If you are unsure of being able to attend a particular tournament please enter TBC against that date.

 

Please note that there will also be a BBQ after the tournament on 14th June.  Family and friends are welcome.

(This is also world Gin Day and the club will be celebrating this with a large selection of Gins at great prices!)

Tournament Details

  • For those who may not yet have played this form of tennis, you should note that this is tennis using a handicap system. Its competitive and FUN!
  • Much like in Golf, the handicap system allows players of all abilities and fitness levels to come together and partake with an equal chance of winning.
  • The details of the handicap system as well as other details will be explained to all on the day of the tournament.  All you need to do is tell me you want to play, put the date in your diary and then turn up.
  • Tournaments take approximately 2.5 hours, but you may wish to relax with a drink in the club house after.
  • The entry fee for the tournament will be £5.00 to cover the cost of prizes.  (Please remember to bring the correct money with you!)

Don't Miss Out!

Last year’s tournaments were very popular and great fun.  I expect the same popularity this year and I will therefore have to accept players for this years tournaments on a first come first serve basis.  

Only 16 players can play in each tournament.  So Don't Delay! Respond Today!

I hope to see many of you taking part again this year and I look forward to welcoming you and even sharing a drink together in the club afterwards.
