REEPHAM AND DISTRICT TENNIS CLUB - FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a member to use the courts?

Yes. To book and use the courts you must be a member of our club. If you are a little unsure about whether to join and would like to have a go first, you are welcome to come along to one of our club nights to try it out before you commit to a full year’s membership.

How much is it?

Please see the membership form for this year’s subscription rates. All the membership details are under our ‘Membership’ tab. The membership year runs from 1st June to the last day in May the following year.

How do I join?

Complete the membership form and pay the annual membership fee.

Where do I get a key to get on the courts?

Once you become a member of the club (by completing the membership form and paying the annual fee), you will be given a key to the courts. This key is free but we require you to return the key if you leave the club.

There is a small ‘hut’ where you can access the meters for the floodlights. If you think you will play under floodlights, you will need to ask us for a key to the hut. We do take a small deposit for this; you can keep hold of the key for as long as you’re a member. The deposit will be refunded when the key is returned.

All keys must be returned if membership terminates for any reason.

Do I need to book a court?

Yes. First, you need to register an account with ‘clubspark’ and then you will be able to access the Reepham and District Tennis club booking page.

The link below will take you to our Clubspark booking page. You can also access this from our ‘Bookings’ tab.

When are club nights and what are they like?

Club nights run on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6.30pm. We are a friendly, inclusive club and you will be made to feel welcome. Club nights run all year round. Read ‘Club Night Etiquette’ to give you a flavour of what we want our club nights to be like.

Are there rackets and balls I can use?

If you come along to a club night, we provide the balls and there are always some spare rackets you can borrow for the session. If you book a court for your own use, you will need to bring your own racket and balls.

Can junior members use the court by themselves?

Junior members aged under 13 must be supervised by adults at all times.  Adults do not have to stay with their child at junior coaching sessions, but under 11s must be picked up and dropped off by an adult. Details for the club’s welfare officer with responsibility for safeguarding are in the ‘Safeguarding Policy’ on our website.

Can I have some coaching?

Yes- there is coaching available for adults and juniors, payable in addition to the annual membership charge.  All players using the club for tennis lessons must be members of our club.

Can I get involved in helping out at the club?

Yes please! We have a small group of volunteers who are on the committee responsible for running the club, and we welcome new committee members. Alternatively, you might have some spare time to help out with some routine maintenance tasks on court or maybe you’d like to organise a social event for members. In any case, please email us or talk to a committee member at one of the club nights.
