Welcome to Ross on Wye Tennis Centre

RAISE THE ROOF TENNIS EVENT 14th June 2025

Join us for a fun-filled tennis event on 14th June 2025 to support our community! We are raising funds for a much-needed new roof for the pavilion, and we need your help to make it happen. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking for a good time, come out and enjoy the games, food, and camaraderie. Your participation will go a long way in preserving our beloved pavilion. Let's serve up some fun for a great cause!

There will be garden games, cakes, tea, licenced bottle bar, raffle, tombola, food, ice-creams, sports clothing, music and a bouncy castle!

Also , if you want some excercise, social mixed doubles will be open to members and non members.  Sign up as a pair or on your own and you will be allocated a partner.  Each pair will play 4 matches lasting approx. 15 minutes each.

Entry is £12 per person - to enter WhatsApp or text 07460 430276 or email hello@blueoctopussports.com.  Then make your donation to https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ross-tennis-centre

If you don't wish to take part, but still wish to support the cause, you can just make a donation via the link above.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.

Introduction

Ross Tennis Centre (RTC) was established in 1987 to offer great tennis facilities for the residents and visitors of Ross-on-Wye and the surrounding area.  It is a thriving place, with many members and non-members of all ages playing regularly.  RTC is a fully registered member of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) which recognises good standards and best practice at tennis venues in Britain.  RTC is a member of the Herefordshire & Worcestershire LTA (H&WLTA) and has five teams competing in the H&WLTA leagues.

The facilities include four floodlit tarmacadam tennis courts, which are available all year round from 8.00am to 10.00pm.  The Pavilion has a wheelchair access toilet, shower/changing and tea/coffee making facilities which can be accessed by members.

Membership of RTC enables individuals to join the LTA Advantage programme which provides access to the LTA Advantage Wimbledon ballot and a licence and rating to compete.

Non-members are welcome to play here:   please visit the NON-MEMBERS tab for details and the BOOKINGS tab to make an online court booking.

SAFEGUARDING

RTC is a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to enjoy their tennis in a safe environment; we expect players and spectators to show respect and tolerance to others at all times.  Please refer to the Policies tab for full details of our Code of Conduct and other important policies.

The LTA has produced a video for parents and players as part of their campaign to raise awareness of safeguarding in sport
