Why We Need Your Support

The Tennis Centre is the centre of our community. It’s where friendships are formed, skills are honed, and memories are made, both on and off the courts. Sadly, after years of weathering the elements, the pavilion roof is now in urgent need of replacement. Leaks and structural wear threaten to disrupt our activities.

As a Community Interest Company, we exist to serve our local area. Every penny raised goes directly back into maintaining and improving the centre—ensuring access to tennis, recreation, and community events for everyone, regardless of age or background. But we can’t do it alone. That’s why we’re reaching out and inviting you to join forces with us.

  • Buy Tickets: Secure your spot for an evening of live entertainment
  • Spread the Word: Invite friends, family, and colleagues—everyone’s welcome!
  • Donate: Can’t make it? Support us with a donation via https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ross-tennis-centre
  • Sponsor: Local businesses can sponsor the event or donate raffle/auction prizes for extra exposure

About Our Community Interest Company

As a CIC, our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive and dynamic space for sports, health, and community development. Our governance ensures all proceeds go straight back into the centre, benefitting local people and sustaining vital facilities. Supporting this event means supporting positive change, improved wellbeing, and opportunity for all.

Thank You to Our Partners

We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our sponsors, the passion of our performers, and the dedication of our volunteers. Thanks also to every community member who shares in our vision—your enthusiasm and support make all the difference.

Mark Your Calendar!

Don’t miss out on this event. Book your tickets early, tell your friends, and get ready to “raise the roof” for a great cause. Together, we can ensure the Tennis Centre Pavilion continues to serve as a centre of activity, inclusion, and community pride.

Introduction

Ross Tennis Centre (RTC), which is a Community Interest Company, (not for profit), was established in 1987 to offer great tennis facilities for the residents and visitors of Ross-on-Wye and the surrounding area.  It is a thriving place, with many members and non-members of all ages playing regularly.  RTC is a fully registered member of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) which recognises good standards and best practice at tennis venues in Britain.  RTC is a member of the Herefordshire & Worcestershire LTA (H&WLTA) and has five teams competing in the H&WLTA leagues.

The facilities include four floodlit tarmacadam tennis courts, which are available all year round from 8.00am to 10.00pm.  The Pavilion has a wheelchair access toilet, shower/changing and tea/coffee making facilities which can be accessed by members.

Membership of RTC enables individuals to join the LTA Advantage programme which provides access to the LTA Advantage Wimbledon ballot and a licence and rating to compete.

Non-members are welcome to play here:   please visit the NON-MEMBERS tab for details and the BOOKINGS tab to make an online court booking.

SAFEGUARDING

RTC is a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to enjoy their tennis in a safe environment; we expect players and spectators to show respect and tolerance to others at all times.  Please refer to the Policies tab for full details of our Code of Conduct and other important policies.

The LTA has produced a video for parents and players as part of their campaign to raise awareness of safeguarding in sport
