Tennis Pavilion Development

Work starts on Monday 15th April to develop the ground floor of the pavilion. This includes 2 toilets, a kitchenette, mens and ladies changing rooms, and a new entrance door & new windows. The toilets will be disabled friendly and a new ramp to the front of the building will allow disabled access. The materials to be used will be suitable for resisting flood damage.

The pavilion was previously shared with the Canoe Club. Henceforth, it will be a dedicated Tennis Club facility.

This is an initiative part funded by the Tennis Club and part funded by York City Council. Work is due to be completed around the start of July.

Particular thanks to Pete Richardson (Tennis Club Chairman) who has been instrumental in making this happen despite a number of obstacles faced along the way. Thank you also to the Members who helped clear out the Pavilion on Saturday 13th April in preparation for the arrival of the builders.
