August 2024 was a busy month with hard work from Club Members to deliver a welcoming space after the builders had 'finished' their bit of the redevelopment.

We now have a social space with tables & chairs, 2 disabled toilets, kitchen and 2 changing rooms (1 needs further work). Apart from the tennis carpet, most of the furniture & fittings were donated or sourced for free from Freecycle. 

This project has been a long time in the planning. BIG thank you to Pete Richardson (our outgoing Chairman) for his vision, persistence in getting this through Council Planning, finding a builder & working with the builder to get the work done.

We have planning permission in place for a Phase 2 to expand up into the attic space & add a dormer window with views over our beloved courts. We are waiting for the Council to have the funds available to help us before proceeding with this.

The work was funded two thirds from Club funds & one third from a Council grant.
