Shinfield Tennis Club

Shinfield Tennis Club is a members club, with weekly Coaching, Club sessions, competitive tournaments and fields a variety of teams playing matches across Berkshire.

New Members Junior and Adult are very welcome .  We expect all players to follow the Club and LTA guidance. 

Shinfield Tennis Club is a friendly Tennismark accredited club registered with the LTA and located in the pleasant surroundings of Shinfield village. In 2012 and with the help of the LTA, Sport England and both the local Parish Council and Wokingham Borough Council, the club underwent major redevelopment to transform it into a modern playing facility.  The courts and clubhouse are being repainted in early 2024.

We presently have four all weather, outdoor, floodlit courts, for all-year round play, a clubhouse and car parking facilities.  There are Adults club nights on a Tuesday and Friday evening from 6.00pm onwards, where members of all abilities are invited to come down and play with other members.    

The club via Tony Williams LTA Level 4 (Head Coach) and Courtney Marsden Level 2 Coaching Instructor, offer a full programme of coaching and cardio tennis for adults and various stages of coaching for juniors (from 4yrs and above), details and booking is available  via the "Coaching" section of our website.

Club sessions are as follows:

Monday and Thursday Afternoons - Veterans Social Tennis 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Tuesday Club Night: 6.00pm - 8.00pm  on all four courts

Tuesday Club Night: 8.00pm - 9.00pm  on Courts 1 and 2

Friday Club Night: 6.00 - 8.00pm  on Courts 3 and 4

Coaching for Juniors and Adults:

Monday evening - Adult Cardio Tennis 7.30 - 8.30

Thursday afternoon and evening - Junior Group coaching 4.30pm - 7.30pm (age based timings - contact the coaches for details)

Saturday mornings - Juior and Adult Group coaching (contact the coaches for details)
