Knock Out Round

DRaw for the final 8: Final 8

Explanation

There will be 8 teams going through to the knock out stages – the 8 group winners.  Some of the groups are very tight.  If teams have the same number of wins, then the following criteria will be used to decide who wins the group:

1.         Sets difference (so 2-0 win better 2-1)

2.         Games difference (so 6-0, 6-0 better than 7-5, 7-5)

3.         If still cannot be separated then toss of a coin with the referees decision being final!

The draw for the next stage is:

Please note the dates for each round – if you cannot commit to these deadlines then please withdraw so we can have a good and complete end to the tournament.  The aim is to play the two semifinals at the same time – however in certain circumstances we can review this.

Withdrawals: there are no substitutions now.  If a player withdraws, the pair will be replaced by the next best pair from the group stages or beaten team from previous rounds.  So even if you have not immediately qualified, you may get a chance to play later!

If you have any questions, then let me know – good luck with the remaining matches.
