Wimbledon Ballot

The Wimbledon Championships 2019 club ballot will be held on Saturday 6th April 2019 during a ‘tea break’ at the opening tournament.  For the last two year’s draw, we have used numbered tennis balls randomly fired from a ball machine to determine the ballot winners and we will continue with this this year. We have ten pairs of tickets for 2019.  Please click on the link to check the dates, prices and LTA rules.

Tickets, prices and LTA rules for 2019 - 10 pairs of tickets

As an LTA registered place to play, the club receives an allocation of Wimbledon tickets based on the number of British Tennis Members linked to it and ‘Opted- In’.  Even if you plan not to go to Wimbledon this year, our allocation of tickets depends on the number of members who opt in.  Please note that you can be linked to more than one club.

LTA registration 2018-19

The club runs a ballot which is open to all adult (playing and social) and junior British Tennis Members linked to the club and ‘Opted-In’.

This year on the 2019 membership form we are asking for permission to sign you up as an LTA member if you haven’t done so already.  If you tick this box, then the club will register you with the LTA.  If you are already signed up as an LTA member, but haven’t ‘opted-in’, then we will send you a reminder via email or telephone.

Please login to the members area of the LTA website to check your membership status, link yourself to Slyne Tennis Club,  and check that your contact details are correct.

How to opt in:

  1. First log in to the LTA website using your username and password;
  2. Click on your logon icon (initials) in the top right of the page;
  3. Select members home;
  4. Scroll down till you get to Wimbledon Ballot;
  5. Click on 'Find Out More';
  6. Finally click on 'Opt On'.

If successful in the ballot, the LTA will use these details to contact you to arrange payment and delivery of the tickets.

Notes:

Entry into the ballot does not automatically entitle applicants to tickets for Wimbledon, but to a place in our club draw for tickets. It is not possible to request tickets for specific days or courts, as the day and court offered are chosen randomly by a computerised selection process.

Opting in does not financially commit a club member, it only increases the number of tickets the club is allocated.

Details of the number of pairs of tickets we have for 2019 and draw details will be communicated via the Google Group in February 2019.

All tickets allocated to Slyne TC are distributed in pairs and must not be split between more than one successful BTM.  Any successful BTM in the Slyne TC ballot must use the tickets for themselves with a guest. The guest can be of the successful member’s choosing (and does not have to be a tennis club member).  Please note this is consistent with the approach of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club Limited regarding the allocation of tickets for The Championships, Wimbledon.

Tickets have to be paid for if you draw them in the ballot. There is a 14 day option period to either purchase them or put them back in the draw for other members.

All members entering our club ballot must also be paid up 2019 members of the club.

No tickets shall be given away or used outside of the Slyne TC ballot for example as a prize in any raffle, tombola or other prize draw, or given to third parties  or volunteers.

 Once tickets have been purchased by a British Tennis Member, they cannot be transferred. In the event that a member has purchased tickets and does not wish to, or is unable to use any tickets issued to them, they must notify and return the tickets as a pair, for a refund to the LTA.
