Introduction
We have worked with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) with an investment of approximately £240,000 to upgrade the councils' tennis courts at Bakers and Forde Parks in Newton Abbott, Teignmouth Den, and Buckfastleigh’s Duckspond. The online booking and payment system generates income towards the future maintenance of the courts.
The new electronic gate access and charging system allows people to book and pay on-line. Courts are bookable on the hour, each hour during opening times.
- A £36 annual tennis pass can be purchased which covers up to 10 people in a household and provides a 10-day advanced booking option.
- For those who prefer to Pay to Play you will be able to book seven days in advance paying £6 per court per hour
Courts are bookable on the hour during opening times. Your booking generates a gate access PIN code which is viable for 10 minutes prior to your booking and up to 10 minutes past the hour only. Forde Park and Bakers Park in Newton Abbot, each with three courts, Teignmouth Den with one court, and Duckspond in Buckfastleigh with two courts have their own individual web pages and booking sheets. The links to these are below.
When booking a court for the first time you will be asked to set up and account to login with the Lawn Tennis Association. This is a normal part of the initial set up process. You can book your courts by downloading the ClubSpark Booker App for free on both iOS and Android.
