IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Save the date - Forde Park Tennis Courts Open Day Saturday 24 May 10am - 4pm.
A day of FREE taster session inclduing LTA Youth childrens tennis for 4 to 11 year olds; Cardio tennis; Walking Tennis and Tennis Xpress. Park Tennis - for everyone begins the day and there's even a stretch and flexibility exercise session around lunchtime. Details on how to book a space will be avialable soon.
Volunteer and Training Opportunity: Two Volunteer Park Tennis Activators needed at Forde Park Tennis Courts Sundays 10.00-11.00am
Access free on-line training to become a volunteer Tennis Activator delivering on court sessions for the local community.
The benefits of being a volunteer activator are:
- Learn new skills, plus shadowing opportunities to learn from other Activators or coaches.
- Develop confidence, boost self-esteem and life satisfaction.
- Opportunity to create healthier and happier people, and spark a passion for sport.
- Give back to your local community and become a leader within it.
- Increase job prospects and employability.
- Have great fun whilst playing and empowering others to play a sport.
- A great opportunity for the family to play and be active together while you volunteer.
- Receive a Free Park Tennis hoodie once online training is complete
- Entry into the Wimbledon Ticket ballot.
Roles and responsibilities of a vounteer activator:
- Delivering fun and engaging one-hour session weekly in Forde Park
- Each session requires two Free Park Tennis Activators to deliver sessions.
- Collaborate with other activators, Coaches, and the Teignbridge District Council Green Spaces team to successfully deliver Parks Tennis.
- To complete session registers using a booking app that can be downloaded on to your phone or other device.
- To collect tennis equipment in after the session. Facilitate communications with programme participants and encourage others to volunteer. All equipment is provided.

- Any person with a passion for providing free sporting opportunities in their communities – no tennis skills needed!
- Anyone looking for flexible volunteering opportunities.
- People from different backgrounds, with different skills but who will share our values of inclusion, teamwork, integrity, passion, and excellence.

Forde Park
Welcome to Forde Park Tennis courts. We have 3 refurbished outdoor hardcourts, open all year-round during daylight hours on a gate access basis. Courts are bookable on the hour during opening times. Your booking generates a gate access PIN code which is viable for 10 minutes prior to your booking and up to 10 minutes past the hour only.
You can either:
- Purchase a Tennis Pass for £37.80 the most affordable way to play, OR
- Pay on a Pay to Play basis of 1 hour for £6.30 per court
The most affordable way to play across all courts in Teignbridge is the annual Tennis Pass for a household of up to 10 people.

If booking for the first time you will be asked to set up an account with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). This is a normal part of the process and will allow you to book the courts.
