Charlotte Williams Named Tennis Wales Official of the Year

We are incredibly proud to announce that Charlotte Williams has been named Tennis Wales Official of the Year, a thoroughly well-deserved recognition of her outstanding contribution to Tennis Squad and the wider tennis community.

This award reflects not only Charlotte’s work over the past 12 months, but the impact she has made throughout her time with us. She first joined Tennis Squad as a Tennis Leader and Assistant before heading to university, where she played for her student tennis club and served on the committee as Chairperson.

Since returning home, Charlotte has taken on a wide range of roles. She is a Level 2 Tennis Instructor, is currently completing her Padel Instructor course, and has progressed through the LTA officiating pathway to become an R3 Referee where she is involved in delivering and supporting many of our events.

Charlotte plays a key role in running competitions for us, often every weekend, including internal club competitions and local-level match plays. These early competitive experiences are crucial for young players, and Charlotte’s warm, welcoming approach combined with her professionalism helps create a positive, encouraging environment. She also delivers LTA Grade 4 and 5 county competitions, has completed her Padel Referee course, and volunteers as Director of Llantrisant Tennis Club.

Charlotte is truly multi-skilled, friendly and professional, and we are extremely proud to see her work recognised with this award.
