Trottiscliffe Tennis Club

Set in the Kent countryside under the North Downs, the club seeks to offer a welcoming, sociable, recreational and competitive tennis environment, for adults and juniors of all abilities.  Club members enjoy all aspects of tennis including taking part in regular organised club sessions, social events, individual and group coaching, and actively competing in the Kent LTA League.   An overhead video of the village and tennis courts location is available by clicking here.

The club looks to offer something to every member, young and old and no matter at what level of ability.  Whether you are looking for competitive tennis, social tennis or you just enjoy the game to get fit, we hope to make you feel welcome.  The club actively supports the development of tennis for juniors and provides junior coaching programmes and junior events, in partnership with our LTA accredited Coaching providers.

The tennis courts are adjacent to the village hall and recreation ground.  The courts have a Matchplay XL carpet surface and are based in a rural setting overlooking farmland, a beech hedge surrounds two sides of the courts to help minimise wind effects.  Both courts are floodlit using environmentally-friendly LED technology and the clubhouse includes washroom facilities and is surrounded by a decked court viewing area.  The car park to the front of the clubhouse can accommodate approximately twelve vehicles with additional parking available at the adjacent Village Hall.

Club Sponsor

The Club is sponsored by Ashmax Associates, a local family-run business offering independent financial advice and services.  Martin Millen, a family member at the Club, is the principal advisor at Ashmax Associates and is keen to support the Club in building community-based activities including the sponsorship of future events and social activities.

Ball Machine

In addition to coaching services, regular club-organised sessions, and Kent League participation, a Slinger ball machine is available for member use.  The ball machine is kindly sponsored by Ashmax Associates and is consequently available on a free-of-charge basis to members. The unit is battery-operated and includes a remote control and an integrated supply of tennis balls making it completely self-contained and easy to transport and use.  Further details on using the ball machine are available on the Member Page. (Please note that access to this page is restricted to members only).

Court Booking

Members can book courts by using the calendar-based booking system available on the 'Court Booking' page of the website. There is no charge for members booking a court providing they are logged in to the Booking System as a registered Club member. If guests are invited to play as part of a member booking then a visitor fee applies.

The courts are available during daylight hours to local residents who are not members of the Club, however, access to the clubhouse is restricted.  Public bookings are based upon a 'Pay and Play' approach and local residents can book a court up to a week in advance for a duration of between 1 to 1.5 hours.  A court hire charge applies and visitors will need to create an online account in order to make a booking and pay online using a debit or credit card.  To comply with our Health & Safety policy a list of the full names of all the players participating will be required when making a public court booking.  Once the booking has been confirmed and payment validated an automated email will confirm the booking and details on the access code for court entry. For booking queries please email trottiscliffetennis@gmail.com
