Coaching at the Club

Junior coaching at the club happens 5 days of the week. Our group programme is on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday with pay & play and individuals / hits mainly on Saturday’s.

Outreach Work

Andy and his team at AA Tennis cover most of the town and local area. Lots of the primary schools link with AA Tennis and receive a Tennis Festival in the summer of each year just before Wimbledon. AA Tennis and Wantage LTC believe it is important that children receive tennis in some sort of form, not only is it a game for life but great for so many different areas of development which will help with other sports.

The club continues to have a link with the local secondary school King Alfred’s. The school during its summer term uses the tennis facilities at the club for cardio delivery and its Team Tennis matches. Year 7 and 8 once a year are invited to attend a Tennis Leaders course, this course is designed to give pupils the chance to lead sessions for other pupils and get everyone playing more tennis at school. CPD occurs once a year led by Head Coach Andy to ensure all staff feel competent in their delivery to pupils during curriculum lessons.
