Good Win for Wheldrakes Mixed Team
Wheldrake entertained Bishopthorpe in the IT Sports York and District Mixed League
In the opening round Suzanne Straw and Don Grant had the first of there 3 winning matches on the evening.
Katie Harrison and David Rigby suffered a loss but closed the gap in their second match and won their third
The experience of Jackie Williamson and the youth of Andrew Murtagh blended well to give them two strong wins and a tie meaning they scored the most points on the evening (27)
Altogether Wheldrake amassed 63 points to Bishopthorpes’s 45 giving the team a morale boosting win
