PDC Programme

Our Squad Programme provides 'Youth' activities for juniors who typically play weekly for improvement, fun and social benefits, plus 'Player' groups for those who are playing more than once a week with a playing level to take part in club teams/tournaments.

In addition, we run a Player Development Centre 'Performance' Programme for those training and competing at a County level and beyond, with have aspirations to progress further. This is a Tennis Wales registered 10U Performance Programme with a strict access critieria including:

  • Clear love and enjoyment for the game.
  • Desire and 'teachability' during coaching sessions.
  • Commitment to a training critieria and competition schedule at each age group.

Entry Process

At the youngest ages (5-6), players can be nominated by their group coach to attend one of our PDC Camps. These are held off-site where children will experience a longer, more competitive training session with a performance coach. If suitable and subject to gaining prior matchplay experience, they are then invited to move into the twice-weekly PDC Squads. As players progress through the ages, the training and competition commitment inevitably increases, with parent education and workshops at each stage of the journey.

It is possible to join the programme at older ages subject to meeting the entry criteria.

Due to high demand and limited court space, we are not currently not accepting players from outside the Tennis Squad network on an 'access' basis i.e. those who undertake the bulk of their programme elsewhere.
