Witney Lawn Tennis Club
West Witney Sports and Social Club
Old Burford Road
The courts re-opened on a restricted basis from 14 May, and doubles play is permitted as of Tuesday, June 2, provided that the guidelines for player safety are strictly adhered to. These have been sent to all Members via email.
As before, only WLTC Members may play, and courts must be booked in advance. Changes to the booking rules were introduced on June 22 - Members were sent emails about this, and you can see the new conditions on the Court Booking page.
The resumption of doubles play does not in any way indicate a 'return to normal'.
We will continue to contact members as and when we have anything further to pass on. So, when you see any Clubspark WLTC email in your inbox, READ IT - it'll contain important updates.
We have suspended the payment of fees until October 1 for existing Members, effectively giving you half a year's membership free. We hope that this will go some way to helping Members who will find their circumstances severely affected in the current situation.
We're offering reduced rates to potential new members for the period up to October 1. See the Membership page.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club announced on April 1 the cancellation of the 2020 Championships. Accordingly, there will be no Club ballot for tickets this year.
Group coaching sessions are suspended due to covid 19. One-to-one lessons are available for Members and non-members. Please click here for more information. As of June 1, watch out for updates from Ed Large and the Excel Tennis Academy.
We love welcoming new members! Adult membership gives you unlimited access to courts for less than £3 per week. Juniors less than £1 per week, family memberships available. Visit our Membership page. You do need to be a member to use the courts.
The activities outlined below are suspended due to the covid situation. We've left the information on this page so that you can get an idea of the kind of Club we are in normal times.

Feel free to come down to one of our club night sessions as a guest initially to get more of a taste of being a member of our tennis club – we’ll always give you a warm welcome! Just contact the Secretary to arrange.
Like to compete? We have men’s, women’s and mixed teams in the local leagues as well as friendly fixtures.
