About Chris

Chris is an LTA level 4 fully accredited  tennis coach. For the past thirteen years he has gained valuable coaching experience working as a full time tennis professional at Woodend LTC. He has  previously working at other clubs and with Glasgow life. He has a wealth of experience coaching mini tennis, training junior  squads and  delivering adult coaching from beginner to advanced levels. In addition he has worked with primary schools from the local area to bring tennis to a wider audience. He is supported in his coaching by Ellen Chapman  and Cameron Caldwell  (both Level 2 LTA qualified) and John James (level 4 LTA). Other roles include organising junior and senior tennis tournaments and helping run the club's tennis teams.

Woodend's tots and mini tennis programmes introduce youngsters to co-ordination, early technique skills and matchplay practice in a fun and friendly environment.

Juniors aged over 10 will learn new techniques, tactics, and matchplay scenarios in our yellow ball classes. At this stage players are encouraged to play doubles as well as singles.

The adult classes are ideal for those looking to drill in order to improve their overall game - there's a level for everyone, complete beginners through to something for more experienced players. It's also a great way to meet others to strengthen your tennis network outside of coaching.

Remember, if you are a club member you get a reduced rate for coaching. Non-members are welcome to come along to classes too.

Drop me a line ([email protected]) for availability on one-to-one, family and small group sessions.
