The Tennis Committee are regularly revising these guidelines in line with Government and LTA advice. So as to ensure the safety of our tennis community please adhere to the playing rules below during this time. We've tried to answer all your likely questions here.
The following has been updated in line with current Scottish Government and LTA guidance.
The Basics - please adhere to the 2m distancing rule at all times. Hand sanitizer will be provided by the club but always better to have your own as well. Hand sanitzer stations are available outside each court.
How do I use the court floodlighting?
During the current restrictions, floodlights will be free of charge as the bar is closed and we have no outlet for the sale of light tokens. Please see floodlight box for intructions.
Can I play Doubles?
Yes! Players should maintain social distancing.
What about equipment?
Ideally use your own. Balls can be shared if both parties agree but you should not handle balls from another court which come onto your court during play - use your racket or foot to return them.
Do I still change ends?
Yes although allow 2m distance whilst doing so.
Can I just turn up and play?
All courts (including the mini court) are bookable -see the 'Book a Court' tab - you can also now see live court availability via this website (Court Bookings tab). Bookings can be 90 minutes for doubles and 60 for singles.
Do I brush the courts?
YES! Unless it's pouring or courts are icy.
