WEST END HOLIDAY SPORT CAMPS

We are excited to offer a camp for everyone every week of the summer. These camps are open to members and non-members of the associated venues and friends. 

The Team

We are a team of tennis, squash and multi sport experts committed to offering camps that will nurture and challenge your children over the summer. We work across Western and Woodend tennis and squash clubs and also across the wider community in parks, schools, church halls and leisure centres. 

The lead coaches are: 

• George Barr (multi sport expert, formerly Enjoy-a-Ball)
• Gordon McGuigan (LTA Level 4 Coach)
• Julie Gordon (LTA Level 5 Coach; MSc Sport Psychology; PGCE (Secondary))
• Martin Woods (UKCC Level 4 Squash Coach; PGDip Elite Coaching Practice)
• Verena Scott (LTA Level 4 Coach (in training): MSc Psychology)

We are running across three venues:

• Windyedge: 31-33 Ryvra Rd, Glasgow G13 1XT
• Western Health & Racquets Club: 30 Hyndland Road, Glasgow, G12 9UP
• Woodend Bowling & Tennis Club: 30 Chamberlain Rd, Glasgow G13 1QE

*****Please note all references to school age groups are for the 23/24 session. Our camps are NOT suitable for new P1s*****

We have two types of camps across the summer:

1. Tennis + Multi Sport

These camps will offer tennis as a main sport (+ squash if at Western) and multi sport options. This camp is ideal if you are looking to improve your tennis, try new sports and make friends and have fun. Suitable for ALL levels of player. 

These camps will run 9 - 1 pm for P1 + P2 children and from 9 - 3 pm for P3 - S3. 

1. Team Player Camps

These camps are for players who compete regularly in team matches for their club and are competing or looking to prepare for LTA competitions. They will incorporate more intense tennis training + multi sport/ S&C and matchplay. 

These camps are for children who compete in Orange Ball up to U16. They will run from 9 - 3 pm. If you are not sure whether or not this is the right camp for your child, please text Julie on 07910 126 452 for a chat.

Booking can be made by clicking on the camp you want which will take you to a booking form with more information. Payment request will be issued when your place is confirmed. 

Costs of Camps:

Full Day 9 - 3pm: £185 

Daily Rate: £40

Part Day 9 - 1 pm: £150

Daily Rate: £35

N.B. P1s and P2s can only access the 9 - 1 pm camps.
