Ladies Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles Box Leagues

We also run ladies singles, ladies doubles and mixed doubles box leagues.  These are great fun and cater for all standards of play.

Winter League from 1st October to 31st March and Summer League from 1st April to 30th September - you can join at anytime - it's open to BLTC members 11 years and over.  You contact other players to arrange matches.  You can play as many, or as few, as you like but you can’t play the same person twice in the same league.

The format is the best of three sets.  A set is won by the player to reach 6 games with a gap of at least two games.  If a set reaches 6-6 a tiebreak should be used: first to 7 points with a clear two points.  To settle a 1-1 set match, a ten-point tiebreak should be played in the third set (first player to 10 with a gap of 2 points).  Line calls on your side of the net are your decision.  If in doubt about any call, replay the point.

Ladies Doubles Box League and Mixed Doubles Box League You can either enter as a pair or as an individual.  Members joining as individuals will be invited to pair up with others who are also looking for a partner.  Each partnership must play together for each season.  You can choose another partner for the next season to increase experience of playing with other people if you want to.
