It is with great sadness that I report the passing of John Clarke, who was a member of the club for many years. I talked to his son David at the club on Tuesday, when he shared the news with me. Our thoughts are with John's family at this difficult time.

The following notice appeared in the EDP today.

John Bernard Clarke

Passed away on April 1st, 2026, at Manor House Care Home after a short illness aged 94. Loving Father to David and Suzi, Grandad to Robbie, Alex, Georgia, Adam and Great-Grandad to Olivia.

Funeral service to take place at St Faiths Crematorium on Monday, April 27th at 11 a.m. Family flowers only please but donations in memory of John can be made payable to The Alzheimer's Society via jgedgeandsons.co.uk, the donation box at the service, or cheques made payable to the charity and sent c/o Gedge & Sons, Independent Family Funeral Directors, Garden Rd, Blofield, NR13 4JL.
