Last week saw the Men's A Team start their second season in Div 4 City League with a home win against Taverham C 47-17. Fin Bailey featured for the first time and quickly helped Jason ease into an 11-5 first string win. Meanwhile Robbie and Anton secured a 10-6 win. The second set of matches saw both pairs steam further ahead 14-2 to Eves/Bailey and 12-4 to Clarke/Stryzhenko. Next match is Stanmore away on Tuesday.

Meanwhile the Ladies team took on a recently relegated Brooke B team from Div 2. With an injured Dawn, the team of Emily, Sandra, Ros and Anne fought hard to give themselves a good start to their 2025 Div 3 journey. Brooke proved to be too strong and came out 48-16 winners. Next match is home to Cromer B on Tuesday.

This year we are running a Men's B team for the first time. Sunday saw them start their campaign in Div 7 as 'Newbies' . Phil Humphrey, Mark Risley, Alex Saunders and Andy Cox went to Wymondham to take on their C Team, full of optimism. Solid performances by both pairings saw them win all their respective matches winning 46-18 and setting a high bar for the rest of the league season.

Sunday also saw our Chair, Karen Isbill (ably supported by Colin & Dawn Stocker) pick up the Mixed Winter League Trophy (see picture above) as Div 4 champions. The Mixed team can now look forward to Div 3 next winter.
