Joining Burnley Tennis Club

It’s always great to hear from prospective new members. We welcome all abilities, whether you’re a junior or an adult, a beginner on the court for the first time, or returning to tennis to those wanting more competitive play in teams and competitions.

Once you are a member there are lots of opportunities to come and play, socially, within a team, with your family and friends or indeed the opportunity to take up any individual or group lessons through our extensive junior and adult coaching programme.

We have social club play both in season and during the winter months. For more information about this, you can refer to the Adult or Junior sections on the website

If competitive tennis is your thing, we have a fantastic selection of successful teams across the Mens, Ladies and Mixed East Lancs League and Ribble League as well as we Mens, Ladies and juniors Team Tennis National Club League teams. We also offer competitive match play for Juniors wanting to play in teams within their age groups.

Our membership runs from 1st April-31st March each year and there are a number of different membership categories depending on your circumstances and preferences. Please note that renewals are due by 1st April regardless of when your membership starts

Members will be issued with a welcome letter and additional documents emailed to them which includes:

• Full timetable of weekly activities as well as all Social tennis and coaching programme
• Information on social events, Open days, tournaments and other competitions taking place over the season
• Information around the club and use of courts
• Members are also issued with the court combination code and a key for the clubhouse (student & adults only)
• Policy & Procedure PDF by email
• Set of Club Rules PDF by email
