JUNIOR GROUP COACHING - Status Wednesday 20th November (the 3rd lesson of this course): ON  - But check back on the day. The weather is getting chilly so juniors should dress warmly.

MEMBERSHIP FEES REDUCTION - Fees for all membership categories have been reduced by approximately 40% from 1st October to 31st March 2025. 

WALKING TENNIS

Unfortunately due to low numbers (possibly weather related!) we have cancelled the course that was due to start in October.  We will be trying again in the Spring, if you are interested then please e-mail us at info@calnetennisclub.com to express your interest.  

Court Refurbishment - Thank you CALNE AREA BOARD

The members and users of Calne Tennis Club are most grateful to the CALNE AREA BOARD,  of Wiltshire Council, for its kind donation towards the cost of refurbishing and repainting the courts.

SOCIAL TOURNAMENTS

Our fun Halloween tournament & Championship prizegiving held on 27th October was well supported and a great event.  The weather was lovely and the food delicious.  Scores were very close but it was Ian who pipped Pav and Valli to the top by 1 point!  Congratulations Ian.  Photos can be found under the socials tab.

Our next social tournament on Sunday 1st December will be Christmas themed, so get your bobble hats and jumpers at the ready! See News tab for details.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS - This year's championships completed on 6th October with the prizegiving was on the 27th October. The results can be seen on the noticeboard in the clubhouse. Winners are listed on the 'Championships 24' tab, together with Photos from the prizegiving, and commemorated on the Honours Board on the 'Champions' tabs on the Events page.

MEMBERSHIP

The new Membership year 2024/25 started on 1st April. Membership fees for new joiners are available on the 'Membership' tab.

If you're not sure about signing up for several months, but want more than an occasional hour of Pay & Play, then check-out our 1-monthly Short Term Membership category via the 'Membership' tab - only £25 a month with some refunds if you subsequently join as a full member. You're welcome to come and have a free 'taster' at the club with one of our social tennis groups before making a decisions - see the 'Social Tennis' tab for details of the days and times and then contact us at info@calnetennisclub.com to arrange to attend.

Junior Coaching

Our junior group coaching programme is currently provided by Sid Falconer, LTA Accredited+ Level 3 coach, on Wednesdays, supported by Louis Warnett, club member and budding LTA Level 2 coach, and Pedro Howe who is about to embark on his LTA Level 2 coaching course. Sid was formerly Head Coach at Calne Tennis Club; he is an extremely effective performance coach, excellent with children and was, for several years, British Deaf Tennis Singles Champion.

Our next Junior Coaching term starts on 6th November for 6 weeks and can be joined at any time; the fee is reduced pro rata. Please go to the Junior Coaching tab for more information and to book.

Pay & Play

We welcome non-members of the club to 'Play & Play' on our courts. Available courts can be booked for an hour for a total (excluding floodlights) of £10 for singles or doubles play. Floodlights will be necessary at £2 per 30 minutes from around 6.30pm from October. Please click on the 'Court Booking' Tab and follow the Pay & Play instructions for registration, court selection, floodlights and payment. Pay & Play is available as follows:

Monday and Thursday from 9am to 6pm; Tuesday & Friday from 9am to 9pm; Wednesday 9am to 1pm & 7pm to 9pm; Saturday 9am to 5.00pm; and Sunday from 12.30pm to 5.00pm.
