On a sunny(!) April afternoon, 22 adult and 2 junior members enjoyed an afternoon of fun tennis in a mixed American Tournament format organised by members Sam Knapmanand Linda Knott. 

After 4 matches of 8 games each, with personal scores to count, Nicki Scaife and Danny Hough came out victorious.  Runners Up were Helen Gurd and Chris Clarke, with Sheila Barrington and Adrian Knott placing third. 

An "American Tournament" is a great way to involve players of all abilities in competitive, but most of all fun, play. Players that might not normally play at the same time or level can come together to improve their game, have fun and even make friends over a slice of cake!  

A total of £95 was raised towards the resurfacing of courts 4,5&6 which will be starting on or around 24th April.  Every little helps!  Thanks to those members that joined in.
