Cheryl is the primary point of contact for concerns regarding children, young people and adults at risk.  

About me: 

My name is Cheryl and I am the Welfare Officer for Cary Park Tennis Club.  This means that I am available to speak to by phone, email or in person if you have any concerns about anyone's welfare or well-being at the club; or any issues about keeping people safe.  I am here for all members (adults and children) and all concerns will be handled confidentially and sensitively.

Key Steps in the LTA Safeguarding flowchart.

  • Immediate Danger: If a child or adult is in immediate danger, call the police (999).
  • Report Concern: Report concerns immediately to the club/county Welfare Officer, or directly to the LTA Safeguarding Team.
  • Outside Tennis: If a concern arises outside tennis (e.g., home or school), report to the police or Local Authority Children’s/Adult Services.
  • Record: Document all details, including dates, times, and exactly what was said or seen.
  • Online Reporting: Use the LTA secure online form to report concerns
