SINGLES BOX LEAGUE

Match Format:

Each match is played over 11 games.

If you reach 5 - 5, the final game becomes a tie‑break to 7 points to decide the winner.

You earn 1 point for every game you win.

You also get 4 points for turning up and playing.

Promotion & Relegation:

At the end of each round, the top 2 players move up and the bottom 2 move down.

And your total points for the round will count towards the Annual Points Race.

  • Players need to sign up to each round.
  • Players who miss a round due to unavoidable circumstances e.g. short-term injury will re-join in the same group.
  • Players who miss a round through choice may be re‑entered in a lower group.

Scoring Examples:

Player A wins 11 games, Player B wins 0 games. Then Player A gains 15 points, Player B gains 4 points.

Player A wins 7 games, Player B wins 4 games. Then Player A gains 11 points, Player B gains 8 points.

Player A wins 5 games, Player B wins 5 games, Player A wins the Tie Break. Then Player A gains 10 points, Player B gains 9 points.

ANNUAL POINTS RACE

The Annual Points Race (for singles) is our year‑long celebration of consistency, commitment, and competitive spirit. Every singles point you earn in each league round is added to your personal total (PPG - Points Per Game Average), so the more you play - and the harder you fight for every game - the higher you climb.

Each December, we’ll come together in the clubhouse for our Awards Night, where we crown the champions of the Points Race and celebrate everyone who’s taken part throughout the year.

DOUBLES BOX LEAGUE

We’re excited to introduce a brand‑new Spring & Summer Doubles Box League starting in 2026. The final format is still being polished, but the plan is to run a fun, flexible league with:

  • Rotating pairings so you get to play with different partners
  • Two sets per match, followed by a match tiebreak if needed
  • Individual points scoring for both sets, tiebreaks and taking part

It’s designed to be social, competitive, and a great way to get more doubles match play experience throughout the season.

More details will follow soon as we lock everything in.
