We welcome juniors to our club and run a variety of coaching classes for young players who wish to take up the sport. On Saturdays from 4-6pm, we have junior social tennis for our junior members to turn up and play. Junior members can also book courts at any time when the courts are available. For those interested in competitive tennis, we enter teams in the East Scotland leagues - for summer 2024 we had 3 teams in the leagues.

Our head coach Marcin Tycner started in April 2024 and has a thriving junior programme running classes during term time and during the holidays. Details of current term blocks available for booking are shown below. Upcoming holiday camp details are on the Holiday Camps page of this site.

Autumn Term 2024 coaching plans

We have now completed our summer block of coaching. The next block will start on 14th August and will include a new pre school session on Sunday mornings. The sessions will be on for 8 weeks leaving us one extra week (kept free in case of any cancellations) just before the October break.

Wednesday start 14th August:

4.30-5.15pm for all red and orange players (ages 5-9/10)

5.15-6pm for all green and yellow players (ages 10&over)

Friday start 16th August 

2-2.45pm red class (ages 5-8)

2.45-3.30pm orange class (ages 9-10)

3.30-4.15pm green class (ages 10/11-12)

4.15-5pm yellow class (ages 12&over)

Sunday start 18th August 

9.15-10am pre school/parent and child class for the players ages 2.5-5 who will learn how to play with their parents/helpers

10-10.45am red class (for ages 5-9)

There will also be one invitational class on Thursdays at 5pm for the older, competing juniors who play regular league matches and enter competitions. Marcin will be in touch about this session soon.

The spaces in each class are limited and are available for booking. Please email Marcin and let him know which session your child is planning to attend and you will then get confirmation of a place. If your child has not attended coaching with Marcin at Corstorphine Tennis Club before then you need to also email the Coaching Booking Form (photo of signed form is fine) - it can be downloaded from the bottom of this page. 

All the players who attend coaching need to be members of Corstorphine Lawn Tennis Club. You can join our club from the Join Us page of the website.
