The U16 Boys' side of Will Cole, Ben Greening, Aarnav Bajaj and Jamie Sadler played their third match of the summer national league season at Boston last weekend.
Two strong teams produced a high standard of tennis, with Will Cole and Ben Greening losing out in singles and Aarnav Bajaj winning his. This left Jamie Sadler holding out in a third-set tiebreak to leave the scores even going into the doubles.
Both Grantham pairs started strongly and won the first sets, helped by excellent teamwork and serving. Ben and Aarnav held out in a tiebreak. Confidence grew, and Grantham eventually won both doubles in a well-contested fixture.
It was a good advert for tennis with both teams showing an exemplary attitude and determination.
