2019 Adult Club Tournament

Members are invited to enter the summer knockout tournament with the close by date being Friday 12 June 2020 . The draw will be made during the following week.

Please make sure you familiarise yourself with the Tournament Rules, also available on the club noticceboard

For those not familiar with the Summer Knockout Tournament, it is open to all and is a great opportunity to play with and against different people.

Entries are now invited for the Annual Club Tournament 2020. The events are ladies singles, mens singles, ladies doubles, mens doubles, mixed doubles and over 55 mixed doubles. All adult members, students and Invited Juniors are eligible to enter.

Players entering the mixed doubles may enter either the open draw or if appropriate the over 55 draw, not both.

Should there be insufficient entries for the over 55 mixed doubles event, all entrants will be included in the open mixed doubles draw.

For those new to the club, partners for the doubles events are drawn out of the hat. Players will be responsible for organising their own matches. Opponent contact numbers will be provided on request so please be aware that your contact number will be shared. If you don’t want your contact number shared with an opponent please let me know but this obviously makes the running of the competition difficult. The draw sheets will be available, when completed, on the club’s web site ‘what’s on’ page.

For this year, any 3rd set matches will consist of a Championship decider, in an endeavour to keep the matches to the 90 minute court booking slots. For the immediate future, matches will have to be played behind ‘closed doors’, i.e. no spectators, whilst this is not in keeping with the competition being a social event, we are still living in restricted times. So please respect this and keep yourself and others safe.

To enter please reply to this email and state clearly in your reply the event/s that you would like to enter. THE CLOSING DATE IS FRIDAY 12 JUNE, so please don’t delay, get your entry in now.
