Club Secretary and co-founder Janiece, who is severely sight impaired, started receiving tennis lessons from coach Ben.  Janiece quickly got hooked to the game but realising that there wasn’t any local clubs for visually impaired players, she decided to set one up.  In October 2021, Janiece and her coach started to host very successful taster sessions.  This success led Janiece to embark on setting up a member’s club, which welcomed members for the first time in April 2022. South Yorkshire Visually Impaired Tennis Club (SYVITC) was born.  Janiece is also a volunteer campaign coordinator for the RNIB.
