Tennis Leaders is a course with follow-on activities for ages 11+ to learn the basics of coaching, competition & club management. After completing an an initial 5-hour workshop, participants are engaged with a volunteering rota at their club programme to develop many skills and opportunities including: 

• Communication - with players, parents and the coaching team
• Organisation - both on and off-court!
• Volunteering hours for DoE Award / Welsh Bacc
• Guidance along the coaching pathway towards the LTA Assistants award. 

Our Young Volunteer Pathway offers both support and recognition along the journey with regular opportunities to upskill with our team of tutors and mentors. 

Leaders Reward Scheme

Tennis Leaders can download an app to record their volunteer hours at their local Tennis Squad venue, which then counts towards our reward scheme to gain some special incentives along the journey as a thankyou for supporting the local tennis community. 

The app can also be used by those in receipt of a bursary to track hours completed towards any grant-funded support .
