The Norwich City League has 7 Mens' Divisions & 5 Ladies Divisions which together comprises of 84 teams across the region playing interclub doubles matches between May and the end of August each year.

Acle Tennis Club is well represented in the league, fielding 5 mens' teams and 3 ladies teams for the summer of 2024.

The City League format is unusual in that we play 16 games against each pair and only change ends after every 4 games. Every single game is important because the total scores are added together at the end of the season and the top two teams from each division are promoted while the bottom two are relegated.

The teams normally do very well. Our Mens A Team and both our Ladies A Team currently play in the top division and a number of our other teams achieve promotion after every season.

The 2024 City League commences in early May with matches being played almost every week day evening, usually starting at 6.30pm. Support is always much appreciated, so please come along to cheer the teams on if you have some free time during the summer and fancy watching a bit of highly competitive, entertaining, exciting and often nail-biting tennis.
