Weekly Update!
- Acle Tennis Club Tournament!
Hopefully all members have had an email regarding this year’s tournament with an entry form attached, however if you have not please email secretary@acletennisclub.org.uk.
Just a reminder that all entries need to be completed by Saturday 30th June and that the tournament will start on Saturday 14th July. Entry forms will also be available in the club house and pavilion,
- New Adult Daytime Classes
We have two new adult daytime classes starting in a June.
Liz will be starting a Tennis Xpress class on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am.
This is a class suited for those either new to tennis or coming back after a break. We use slower balls and go through all the shots and rules of play. £6 a class.
Cardio on Thursday at 9:30am fun fitness with music and... tennis!(We have rackets you can borrow!)
Starting June 14th. £6 a class
- Match Report
Mens D
We entertained Fakenham on Wednesday 6th of June in warm sunny conditions against a very sporting side who tried their best to compete against our two pairs who are beginning to enjoy winning their matches. James and Dave came very close to catching the unstoppable Phil and Chris with Acle winning by 49 to 15. The c team captain was scouting and left early confused that our team were leading and transfer talk was in the air with the fresh plans he was making with his new signings. He looked more positive as he left, now he has some different options, using d team players. Meanwhile the match went on with our players consolidating our position in the table and clearing enjoying each other’s company.
- Running of Monday Club Night
We are currently looking for someone to take on the running of Monday nights club night, if you are interested please contact Andrew on chairman@acletennisclub.org.uk, thank you.
- Acle Tennis Club Committee

- Clubspark App
Clubspark now have their own app which makes booking courts easy. It can be downloaded onto smartphones, ipads or ipod touches, just search for ‘clubspark’ in the app store and download for free.
- Facebook Group
We have created a new Acle Tennis Club Group on Facebook which (unlike our Facebook page) allows any member to post comments, pictures or other information that they would like to share with the club. All sessions open to all ages and abilities. No need to book a place just turn up, pay and play. These are friendly relaxed groups, offering the chance to have fun while getting fit at the same time. We would love to see more members playing on a regular basis. Sessions often end with a well- earned drink in the social club.

- Other Bits & Bobs
▪Don't forget that you can buy new balls from the club. Please call Mike Lake on 01493750337 or see Ann Nicholls down at the courts.
▪Money in the safe: could all members please put a note with any money put into the safe detailing who the money is from and what it is for. Please also make sure the club room door locks properly when you leave.
▪Members with a guest: Reminder for members who attend the courts with a guest to kindly put the names on the form pinned to the Club Room wall and put a note with the payment before depositing it in the safe. There are pens, paper and bags provided.
