Team Tennis

Team tennis is available for all club members both senior and junior.  The senior teams play all year round. The junior teams only in the summer.  Read on for details.

SENIOR TEAM TENNIS

Senior teams are entered into the Buckinghamshire Summer Shield League, Bucks Veterans League, Farnham Common League and DL Northwood mid-week League.  All players are welcome to participate. Summer 2023 results

Mens 1st team Div 2 - 4th out of 7 (Won 3, lost 3); 2nd team Div 2 - 7th out of 7 (Won 1, lost 4); 3rd team Div 6 - 3rd out of 7 (3 teams on same points so decided on rubbers) (Won 2, drew 3, Lost 1)
Ladies 1st team Div 1 - 4th out of 8 (Won 3, drew 1, lost 3); 2nd team Div 2 - last but 2 teams scratched (Won 1, lost 4); 3rd team Div 4 - 6th out of 8 (Won 2, drew 1, lost 4)
Medley 1st team Div 2 - 1st (Won 5, Lost 1); 2nd team Div 3 - 4th out of 8 (Won 3, drew 3, lost 1); 3rd team Div 4 - 1st (Won 3, drew 1, lost 1)

Teams are made up of four players who play the best of four tie-break sets.  Two sets against one pair.  Followed by two sets agains the second pair.  The exception being the winter singles where a team can be two players who play one rubber of singles and one rubber of doubles.

JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS

NATIONAL YOUTH TENNIS -SUMMER LEAGUE 2024

The National Leagues are primarily a singles based team
competition for all abilities and ages, providing regular league matches
against similar standard players in a competitive team environment.
Team competition is a great way for players to play tennis in a fun and
sociable environment and is a proven tool to attract and retain players.

The 8U-18U age groups within the county are part of the LTA Youth
League. The competition runs from April to July in a 12-week league
season and provides a local, fun and exciting tennis experience for
players of all ages from 8&U to Seniors.
