At the heart of the community... A family orientated tennis club for all ages and abilities

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: The courts are open

Singles and Doubles is allowed with social distancing rules applying to different government phases as we head towards normality later this year.  I would like to ask everyone to be sensible and to follow the applicable government rules on social distancing as we progress though the different phases towards normality. The Bar, Kitchen and clubroom will be open from the 17th May as per Government and LTA guidelines.  Bar access still requires keyholders, as is normally the case, but hopefully there should be a greater presence at the club once we are allowed inside and the weather improves.

COURT USE

Courts MUST be pre-booked

Please note that when the government and LTA guidance enables us to re-open the club please DO NOT just turn up and play during Covid-19. Courts must be pre-booked using our online booking system.

We welcome everyone from absolute beginners to serious players - come and join us!

Since its inception in 1979, and with the continuing evolution, the club maintains its original ethos – to offer excellent well maintained facilities for all ages and abilities, as well as having a superb reputation for being a very social and family orientated club alongside a high standard of competitive tennis. We offer coaching programmes for all and are particularly keen to encourage juniors. Currently there are circa 500 Members, many of which are families.

The club prides itself on being organised, maintained and run mainly through the goodwill of its Members. The only paid staff are the cleaner and the gardener. All other work at the club is purely on a volunteer basis, so we encourage members to play their part and offer whatever time or skills they can to help the club maintain its standards and reputation.

The Club is situated close to the Woodland Trust in the heart of Bearsted between the Holy Cross Church and the Ashford Road (A20)
