Guest Performance Coaches
This policy applies to any guest performance coaches. Monday to Friday before 9.30 am and between 12.30 and 2pm, and at such other times as the Committee may agree, a member who is selected for a county squad or higher, whether at senior or junior level, may receive performance coaching from an LTA registered Level 4 or Level 5 guest coach. The coach will pay a fixed guest fee of £5 per hour (to be reviewed annually by the committee) and will not be subject to the requirement to join the club after six visits.
Prior to carrying out any coaching, a guest coach must apply to the club’s Coaching Co-ordinator and to our tennis coaching providers National Tennis Association (NTA) (email alex@nationaltennis.org.uk) for approval. They must confirm they have read both the club’s Health & Safety, Safeguarding and other policies and those of NTA and agree to abide by them. The guest coach must not commence coaching until they have been approved by NTA to coach at the club.
Any guest coach who started coaching at the club before 18 March 2024 and who wishes to continue coaching must contact NTA for approval. Failure to do so will result in the coach not being permitted to coach at the club after 15 April 2024 until such approval has been obtained.
It is the responsibility of the coach to ensure that by coaching on the club courts they are not in breach of any existing coaching contractual arrangements.
This consent does not give or imply commitment to any future coaching arrangements and the club reserves the right to withdraw the consent to coach at any time without notice.
