Supervision of Under 18s
Safeguarding our members is very important to Cringleford Tennis Club. We have revised our guidance for Under 18s not attending coach led sessions in line with current LTA advice.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to regularly check the Online Booking Sheet to see who their child is playing with.
1. Junior members under the age of 13 playing on the club’s courts must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
The court booking should be made by the parent/guardian on behalf of the junior specifying the names of all participants, stating whether member or guest.
2. Junior members between the ages of 13-17 playing each other on the club’s courts may be unsupervised, if the parent/guardian feels that is appropriate for their child.
To ensure consent is given, the court booking should be made by one of the parents/guardians on behalf of the juniors specifying the names of all participants, stating whether member or guest.
Junior members over 16: If a parent/guardian wishes their child to have their own ClubSpark account to make court bookings, they should email the club to give consent and supply the child’s email address. Any booking made by a junior member must specify the names of all participants.
3. Junior members between the ages of 13-17 playing with an adult member who is outside their immediate family.
To ensure consent is given, the court booking should be made by the parent/guardian of the junior member specifying the names of all participants.
4. Junior members between the ages of 13-17 wishing to play in club organised social tennis events, club organised competitions or league fixtures.
Parent/guardian should download and complete the club’s Consent & Emergency Contact Form and email to a Welfare Officer.
5. Under 18 Guests
Parent/guardian and junior member are responsible for guests. Guest fees should be paid promptly after play.
6. Staying safe online
Please can parents/guardians or carers ensure children are aware of our online safety and communication policy.
