Pathway Lighting Update
A site visit has been completed, the circuit checked, and recommendations with pricing provided and shared with the relevant stakeholders. Budget approval in principle was granted at the last committee meeting.
Subsequently, a lighting bollard was purchased that appeared suitable in terms of construction, height, light output, and an integrated PIR sensor. Testing identified two issues: poor PIR sensitivity when approached from the side, and excessive lateral light spread from the flat frosted panel. This would likely distract players on Courts 4 and 5 if installed along the house side of the pathway to maintain vehicle access to the clubhouse.
An alternative bollard has since been identified at a more appropriate price point, with other options available but exceeding the budget. A single unit will be purchased for assessment of light distribution, pattern, and construction, with costs shared with the relevant stakeholders.
Cost and time estimates have also been provided for constructing bollard bases, ducting, and posts to support separate PIR sensors, with one sensor installed at each end of the pathway.
