Winter Team Tennis began at the beginning of October.

First to play were Helen Cooper, Karen Bristow, Colin Mercer and Joe Robson in the Banbury Weekend League (Div 4), on Sun 4th Oct.  They got the season off to a flying start with a convincing 6-2 win over visitors Tysoe B.

The first mid-week fixture (Banbury Floodlit League - Div 3) followed 3 days later (Wed 7th Oct). Another home match, this time against old friends and rivals Middleton Cheney.  Caroline Morland, Sue Panton, Colin Mercer and Steve Stark enjoyed themselves and romped home to a 7-1 win.

Two weeks later, Sue Panton, Jen Allen, David Bristow and Nigel Eaton, made the long trip to Charlbury for the Weekend league.  Despite some close games, Charlbury proved too strong and were 7-1 winners.
The Floodlit team (Caroline Morland, Eira Owen, Colin Mercer and Steve Stark), travelled  to  Banbury the following Friday (23rd Oct) and recorded an emphatic 8-0 win over Deddington C.

Congratulations to all the team members on an excellent start to the season.

November sees each team scheduled to play 3 more matches.

First up is a trip to Tysoe  for the return match against Tysoe B. (brought forward from 2nd Jan), followed by a mid-month home match (Sun 15th Nov) against Towcester and then a second trip to Tysoe at the end of the month, this time to take on Tysoe A.

The Floodlit team also have 1 home and 2 away matches in November.  In the first match (Wed 11th Nov), they will be hosting Deddington B . After that it is their turn to travel to Charlbury, and they will round the month (and the first half of the season) off with a trip to Brackley,
