Pickleball Tournament FAQs

I am turning 50 in September, can I enter the Under 50 mixed doubles?
Yes, you will be able to enter any category below your age

I am 55 but my partner is 49. Can we play in the over 50 men’s doubles?
If your partner is 50 before December 31st then you will be eligible to play in the over 50’s. However if their 50th birthday falls in 2027 they will not be eligible, so you will have to play in the Under 50’s category.

Can I play in both the Over 50’s and Over 65’s Mixed doubles?
Unfortunately, you can only enter one mixed doubles tournament as they will all be running at the same time.

I am DUPR 3.235 and my partner is 3.512. Which category can we enter?
If you are both under 65 then you would have to enter the Intermediate+ (Over 3.5) category as one of you is over 3.5. If you are over 65 the rating does not matter as it is open to all skill levels.

My partner and I have only just got our DUPR ratings (2.876 and 3.126). Can we still enter the Intermediate+ (Over 3.5) category?
Yes, by all means. If you are developing your skills and want to challenge yourself we would actively encourage it.

I don’t have a DUPR account. Can I still enter?
Yes. During the registration process you will be asked to estimate your skill level. Just enter the category that you think best suits your ability. 

Will the results go on DUPR?
No. As the tournament is so close to the English Open, we have decided not to place these results on DUPR as it might adversely impact upon the category some of you have entered for the Open.  We will be hosting tournaments in the future that will be DUPR rated. Look out for them.

I don’t have a partner. Can I still register?

Yes. During registration you will be asked if you want to be paired with another eligible player. We will do our best to match you with an appropriate partner.

How do I pay for registration?
Once we have checked your registration, we will contact you with payment details. We aim to do this within two working days.
