Club Coaching - We have two coaches:

Duncan Bradshaw is an LTA Level 3 Registered coach. Duncan delivers the childrens coaching programme and adult rusty and intermediate group sessions. He is available for private one to one coaching by arrangement, please contact Duncan at duncan.bradshaw@yahoo.co.uk or 07415 694338 for further information.

Will Ellis is an LTA Level 2 Registered coach; during 2026 he will be working towards his Level 3. Will currently delivers a Friday Cardio Tennis session for adults and has helped Duncan with the childrens programme.  

The Club's LTA insurance requires that coaches have to be LTA registered, and then registered and linked to Heworth Tennis Club for both the Club's insurance and the Coach's insurance to be valid.

Coaching sessions - the following sessions are available:

Tuesdays - Rusty racquets at 9.30am and Intermediate Fitness Drills at 10.30am. 

Friday - 45 minute cardio tennis session - 12.15pm - 1pm

Where - All sessions take place on the Clubhouse Courts 1 & 2.

Payment - Rusty and Intermediate sessions costs £7pp (for 60 mins), Cardio session is £6 (for 45 mins). Payment is either via BACS (Duncan & Will will provide details) or cash, if cash please bring the correct amount if possible
