The HTC Club Championships commence in May and culminate in a thrilling Grand Finals Day on 30th August, showcasing the exceptional talent within our club.

Key Info:

• You may enter up to 3 tournaments.

• Intermediate events are for players in Datchworth 5, Hot Rackets 3 and below. If you’re unsure which level to enter, please speak to Andrew or Claire.

• Entry deadline: Saturday 11th May

• Draws available: From Tuesday 14th May on the Matchspace app and printed in the clubhouse.

• Finals Day: Friday 30th August – save the date!

All entries and match organisation will be handled through Matchspace, and we’re pleased to confirm that there is no entry fee this year.

Competition Format

The tournament follows a knockout format with these match rules:

• Match Structure: Best of 3 sets

• Set Rules: Tie-break to 7 at 6 games all

• Final Set: Championship tie-break to 10 in the 3rd set (must win by 2 clear points)

• Match Duration: Designed to fit within a 1.5-hour booking slot

• If agreed beforehand, matches can be best of 3 full sets

Organisational Details

• Match Organisation: Participants are responsible for organising their matches.

• Round Deadlines: Each round must be completed by a specified deadline, strictly enforced to ensure smooth tournament progression.

• Guaranteed Matches: Each participant will play a minimum of 2 matches. Winners of their first match advance in the main draw, while those who lose move to the consolation draw below.
