The Annual Mac McCallum Tournament is the first competition of the year and is timed to mark the end of the winter season and the start of the summer season.

The format for the day is a mixed tournament with players seeded and pairings targeted to create a level playing field for all, allowing players of all levels to participate and get the most from the day.  The matches are timed 15-minute doubles matches with a number of rounds in total, each individual taking part in as many as possible.  Games won by each player are totalled up over the course of the afternoon and the average games, per round played, calculated to be able to rank all players and to decide the overall ladies' and men's winners.
