Inclusion and Diversity Tour to Keyworth & District Lawn Tennis Club

Great meeting with Amanda and Howard, some of the Committee Members from Keyworth & District Lawn Tennis Club, who made me feel very welcome on Sunday 18th February.

The Club is taking a very enthusiastic approach to the future development as well as celebrating inclusive practices currently offered. For example, affordable fees true community spirit and inclusivity; facilities for wheelchair access funded by the Club.

Enthusiastic discussion surrounded ideas which were achievable, where there was a particular interest and resource within a Club. Following this theme, discussion took place about organising a special needs tennis session and the importance that sport and tennis can play within people lives; the promotion of all women to tennis; and the possibility of offering tennis sessions for those returning back to tennis after injury.   

Wonderful to see such commitment, enthusiasm, energy in developing the Club with an inclusive and diverse approach.
