Junior Coaching (Gain confidence, learn sports skills & make new friends)
There's a tennis player in all of us! For juniors aged between 2.5 - 18 our progamme helps them develop confidence, learn new skills and make new friends. Your child will be part of a small group, where Dan will be able to give them tailored coaching and attention.
All equipment (including rackets) is provided. Keep scrolling to learn more about our award winning programme.
Tots Tennis – 30 minutes
For children ages 2.5 - 4 these sessions provide a fun introduction to the game. Sessions will include:
• Basic movement and co-ordination exercises
• An introduction to the shots and basic swings
• Fun games designed to engage and activate
Pay as you go, no need to book - just turn up!
Tots Tennis: Saturday 10 - 10.30am
Mini Tennis Red – 45 mins/1 hour
For ages 4-8, these sessions also provide a great introduction to the game and include:
• Basic agility/balance/co-ordination/speed exercises
• Fundamental shot technique
• Basic tactical foundations
• An introduction to scoring and competing
Mini Tennis Red: Wednesday 4.45 - 5.30pm
Mini Tennis Orange – 1 hour
For ages 7-9, these sessions build on the foundations listed in red and include:
• Agility/balance/co-ordination/speed exercises
• Technical development![]()
• Tactical awareness using the bigger court
• Further scoring and match play opportunities
Mini Tennis Orange: Monday 4.15 - 5pm
Mini Tennis Orange Wednesday 4 - 4.45pm
Mini Tennis Green/Junior Yellow Ball Tennis – 1 hour
For ages 10+, these sessions progress onto the green and full yellow ball. These sessions will include:
• Advanced technical development
• Drill based patterns of play
• Developing a game style
• Awareness of doubles as older juniors progress towards senior tennis
Green/Yellow Ball: Thursday 5.30 - 6.30pm
Yellow Ball: Wednesday 5.30 - 6.30pm
What about cost?
Tots tennis £4 per session pay as you go, 45 minutes £6.50 and 1 hour £8 paid in termly blocks. Non-members, additional £12 per term. Ages are an approximate guide and players will be placed in a group according to stage of development.
