Ball and racquet abuse - zero tolerance policy
Ball abuse – deliberately hitting, throwing, or kicking a ball that is not in play.
Racquet abuse – for example bouncing the racquet on the court, throwing the racquet, hitting the racquet against anything that isn’t a tennis ball etc
During coaching:
First offence:
Sent off for at least 10 minutes.
Parents informed.
Second offence:
Sent off for remainder of the lesson
Written letter of apology from the child to the coach.
Third offence
The child will be removed from the coaching programme and the internal box leagues at the coach’s discretion.
These outcomes are the ultimate sanctions that could happen for each offence. The coach will use his/her discretion in the use of this zero tolerance policy.
