The long and dedicated service of MLTC’s president Alan Frampton to tennis in the county has been recognised with a Berkshire LTA Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award was bestowed on Alan at Berkshire LTA’s recent AGM, and last Tuesday he received the honour officially from the body’s honorary secretary Denise Walker and chairman Lesley Cundy in a ceremony performed at the club with family, friends and club members present.
The award was given in recognition of Alan’s work as a member of the Berkshire LTA Council, acting throughout as Wimbledon Tickets Administrator, as well as his serving on the MLTC Committee in various positions for more than 50 years.
Receiving the award, Alan also praised the support he had received from club members. “To achieve what I have at MLTC I have relied upon the support and help of many committees and general members. Together we have made our club as great as it is” he said.
