No Strings Badminton is a national participation programme offering low-cost, fun ‘pay-and-play’ sessions at the club. It provides participants with a friendly and welcoming environment to play badminton, socialise and keep fit.

The course is delivered by a Badminton England level 2 coach who will cover all the essential skills required to play the game including, grips, movement, serving, backhand and forehand play. The coach will focus on building your confidence throughout the course through fun and engaging sessions. The sessions will be segregated into coaching groups for the first hour and then game play for the final half hour.

Players will be segregated and matched according to their ability. Players will have a positive experience and hopefully develop a lifelong love for the sport. The programme is designed to teach the correct badminton skills and will involve coaching and play sessions.

This session focuses on key skills but also incorporates badminton drills, that is functional training. It is a fun session but at the same time, it includes positive analysis of a player’s racket skills and movement. 

It caters for all levels of ability.

County Junior Training

This session is an opportunity for young players to further their badminton journey and gain experience by playing against other young players  of the same ability. Some sessions will be run by Lancashire County Badminton coaches and others will be match play and the cost will be determined by the County. County Standard Juniors.

Suitable for Beginners and Improvers

Learning rules, technique and movements.

 

Suitable for Intermediate players and players that are looking to compete.

Building match confidence, learning tactics and refining basic skills.

 

Suitable for advanced players who are competing in tournaments, representing their county or playing in the first division of their leagues. 

Competent and consistent in performance; can apply skills in varied situations.
